i'm sure all hoses are too be pluged before driving otherwise could lead to check engine light or other possible disasters. seems like that guy used some kinda rubber thingy to plug it up.

yea i tried it once - not worth it - its nto hard to plug up the hole but because of how free that lil filter is and how it really doesnt fit perfect it makes the car idle a lil wierd and and sometimes even seems like it will stall - dont bother doing it - just my opinion

the hose that originally goes there is i think the breather hose. by taking it off and just putting a filter on the end of your engine, you get the junk out and it doesnt go back into the intake (i think). by not plugging up the hole on the intake, it could suck up something that could damage the engine, because that hole is after the filter. the engine is also slower because more air is comming in than the ECU knows about.

"A breather filter relieves your engine of positive crankcase pressure and recycled carbon vapors from your engine, which cause loss of throttle response due to build-up on the throttle body. The Dragon Breather from weapon r, helps resolve that problem, by venting the vapors into the atmosphere."

i just saw read this from somewhere but sounds like bs to me.

^^ i believe thats true. but you dont need a special weapon r filter, any filter of that size will work.

Every other aftermarket intake out there is bs IMHO. Just my 2 cent. You'll only see gains from an intake if you combine it with y-pipe/b-pipe. Increasing intake flow will do not good if you don't open up the exhaust accordingly.
