my 6.5 kappas wont fit....

i purchased an older brand new set of infinity kappa components. i removed the front door panel and they wont align. i can only align 2 screws and thats about it. how can i mount these? my old kappa coaxils blew but they were 6.75". i thought you can mount 6.5 and 6.75's no problem on our maximas for the fronts? how can i mount these? i dont have the speaker adapters no more from the original package from the 6.75's. Please help!

PS- I know I should post in the audio forum, but it's a ghost town

Go to crutchfield and order some speaker adapter kits.
Thats what I used for my Eclipse speakers.
It will be a plastic cutout that mounts to the existing holes. In the plastic adapter, it will have a series of various holes. You will find a set that will match your speaker.

I had no problem finding it.
I just went through the installations steps at the bottom of the page and selected my year and model of car and it brought up this... http://www.crutchfield.com/S-hdg1WWJ...speaker+dapter

It states its for a jeep but it works with our vehicles as well.
I didnt have Bose housings to fit mine in.

You can cut a circle into a piece of MDF (its a fiber board wood type thing), Screw the MDF into the door and then screw the speaker into the MDF.

MDF is better than plastic in my opinion. Whatever works for you

Sorry to post twice. I just saw those adapters. While they might make your speakers fit, you need a good air-tight seal around the speaker or your bass will suck.
