Do aftermarket cats pass emissions? cuz I think my max needs a new cat and oem ones seem to be extremely expensive.

yea pretty much crappy if u ask me. I have it with the same setup as you do and it was pretty bad. I liked the magnaflow better so i just slapped it back on untill i get a catman or a greddy.

dammit so much for hearing good things about this muffler. if it comes out of the shop sounding like **** on saturday i am going to be REALLY pissed off. I hope a decent resonator will help a little....

does it sound like bees in the can raspyness?

I was told by many people, that if you put a Dynomax muffler on with a y-pipe, it will sound sh!tty. I'm only doing a custom b-pipe and the Dynomax Super Turbo muffler and resonator.

THe sound will get raspy around 4000 rpm to redline, it will also get a lil louder but the bees will kinda go away. it will sound nothing like those civics, it will have some what of a deep tone, but there will be some bees my friend. ITs a decent starter exhaust i guess.

allright we will see what it sounds liek when i get it.

i read somwhere that wrapping JUST the flex section on the y-pipe w/ header wrap or somthing of the sort will reduce the bees in the can sound.. but wrapping it will hold in moisture i was thinking.

also i heard to drill a tiny hole in the muffler to let out moisture and all that. for some reason that sounds like the BIGGEST bull **** and i would never put a drill bit 2 my muffler but i was wondering

I think you're right about the header wrap holding in moisture. The stuff looks good. Are you going to have 2.5" pipes back? or 2"?

not too crazy about the muffler... but you'll get some noticeable gains from the y-pipe

that cat will probably die after a month or two, you may like the sound and you may not, but with just swapping the muffler out im sure you would like the sound, hope it workso ut for you

thanks... yea i will see how the muffler treats me. if it sounds like bawls i will go pick up a magnaflow. would 2.5" or 2" piping for my b-pipe section be more desireable?
