Damn Car wash!!!!

I went to the self car wash in College park, and I was happy cuz I was able to clean it myself with high pressure and a body brush.

That DAMN body brush must have had a peice of gravel stuck in it, cuz when I rinsed off my car there were small scrathches in many places!

The paint on this car is already thin as it is, but now it has white primer showing through the black paint!
I'm so fkuckin pissed!

there were a bunch of kids that used to put thumbtacks in the car washes where i went to college. they hated the tourists so it was their chance at revenge. that was until the cops caught on and busted them.

I only use the pressure hose at those car washes. Just to get the big stuff off. I was waiting to pull in one time and there was a guy in front of scrubbing the bed of his pick-up with the foaming brush! I was like yaah, I might touch that brush to my car....

do u think the scratch filling waxes might work. 3m has a nice one that got rid of alot of minor scratches and swirl marks on my car. i forgot the name but it was made by 3m and wasnt in the detailing section at pepboys, it was in the section where the bondo, sandpaper, and all the body supplies were.

Just bring a good soft sponge, rags for detailing and a chamois with you when you go to those manual washes. Don't let ANYTHING in that stall touch your car.

I use the brushes from time to time with no problem. I just use the high-pressure sprayer to wash them out before I use them.

We think the same way. And as far as those scratches, for the other guy. I am a professional car detailer. I would use a high speed buffer with some 3M Microfinish compound, and then same polish to finish.

when I had my Max at the dealer a few weeks ago, one ******* there ran my Max thru thier carwash w/ the radio on. As I got my Max, I saw the antenna bent and complained like hell to the service manager that I left the radio OFF when I gave it to them, and they're replacing the antenna for free.

As of today, I can't wash my Max for a few days b/c I replaced the windshield

Sorry to hear that man. You would think that the dealership of ALL places would know that. They damn well should replace that mast.
Good luck with that

I have had two bad experiences...one the guy didnt know how to drive stick and burned the crap out of my clutch and still managed to stall. and 2 the guy kept my passat in gear when i had a turbo timer in, let go the clutch and stalled even though i told him to put it in neutral before he took out the key.

Exactly what I do. They have signs to warn you to wash off the brushes before using. That way if your car gets damaged, the car wash is not held responsible.

for the swirl marks........use meguiars "Scratch X" it comes in a black tube and is designed i guess for just touch ups on certain parts

but if you use it on every part of your car....it takes off full layers of oxidation that were left on the paint even from waxing/polishing

best buy if you're gonna look into all the overpriced crap in the car wash section
