Lights dimmed after crossed wires

Lights dimmed after crossed wires
Yeah.. so I crossed a pair of wires while changing key hole light.. and now it is extreeeemly dim. I tryed different LED's but to no change. Do I need to rewire the socket?
I saw a post about this awhile ago.. but never kept up with it, did the person ever figure it out?
