I just noticed today that everytime i step on the brake to shift in gear, i hear a clicking noise coming from around the emergency brake and somewhere in the dash. This doesnt happen will i'm driving, just when the car is parked. Any suggestions??

if you have an auto trans .... I would guess that you are hearing the shift lock release.. you know so you can't put the car in gear with out having your foot on the brake

Thanks but thats not it cause i had the shift lock release removed awhile back. This clicking noise just started today.

i have an auto and everytime i step on the brake it makes a clicking noise.But its only one click. as if something electronic is triggered when i step on the brake. I didnt think it was a problem.
