The New Guy

whats up fella's! I just acquired a 95 burgandy auto maxima. I used to have a 2003 nissan altima 2.5s and my motor has blown twice and the last time my dealer would not cover it under warentee because they said i went over a speedbump going 70+ mph since i havent been over one going 5 before.... anyways long story short, they said when i bottomed out i knock the catalytic brick loose in the precats and was sucked back in when me bottoming out could not possibly knock any of the substance loose. The total cost to have the motor replaced will be 8000 bucks. I have a meeting with the owner of the dealership or they will be receiving a lawsuit. The altima will now remain the project car and will jsu sit in the yard for a while. Im really pleased with the maxima so far, it only has 50,000 miles on her and is in great condition! fully leather, sunroof, ABS, SE. its pretty quick also.

I did hear of a mod that would make the transmission shift faster by dropping something but since i cannot search it puts me in a hold...

future plans are just normal mods for now: Intake, catback, headers, UDP, cams, stillen lip kit, 97 front end conversion, rims and cf hood

mods should be starting soon and I will post pics asap of hte stock beast!
im a on the 4th gen maxi so i will be learning soon and please
take it easy on me!!
Later on,
Jared

There pulling your leg big time. Nissan has a recall or TSB on the subject of pre cats falling apart and the internals being sucked back into the engine and distroying it. It's not your fault that the pre cats fell apart, it's a known problem that Nissan is having with the Altimas.

Get a lawyer, you've got an easy case to win here.

Wouldn't going over a speedbump at 70MPH mess up some suspension components too? And welcome.
