Does anyone have any information on the alternator recall nissan did? I have a friend who just got a new alternator in his 97 maxima with low miles. I had the same thing done two years ago but do not have the information to pass along to him. If anyone has any information on this please let me know......

Call nissan first cause your car may not be covered under the recall.

I went to the dealer and told them whats wrong with the car and that there is a recall. They had to call to confirm that my car fits into years of recall.
I fixed my car at the local shop and then sent the bill to nissan.

ya my alternator on my 1997 i replaced for like 500 bucks then the recall came out, they put in a new nissan alternator and i got my 500 bucks back from nissan.
