ECU reseting

I have looked in the stickies, and I can only find how to get the check engine light off...how do i reset the ECU. PPL told me I should do that since my RPM is at 500 when im idling....that cant be good.

Resetting the ECU will not change your idle speed.

Clean your throttle body for starters, that might bring your idle up to normal.
