As some of you guys may know, my max is down at the moment. In total I have been without the car for 5 months. I decided to go through some video tapes and put together a maxima racing video. Kinda makes me feel better while im waiting for the car to be back in running order.

I wonder if there is a better car to mod and race at the dragway ? Of course, im not talking about a 12 second monster (sr20den), or even a 13 second beast (nealoc187) ! But to think you can get a 4th Gen Maxima into the 14's pretty easy. Its really a blast when considering how many cars go out to race that are much slower !

The best races are the unsuspecting cars/drivers out there. They have a loud Mustang GT, or a Twin Turbo something or other. Its not impossible to beat an occasional 350z, SRT-4, or even a 300ZX TT. Of course the deck is stacked against you with only slight mods many of these cars will spank your behind, but there are plenty of stockers out there ! And it just makes for a big time to pull off a win against some of these cars.

If you have done your homework (with the mods) , got your reaction time down, and the other guy does'nt have a perfect run. You can put the " Sleeper Hold " on somebody ! ROFL ! And it feels great !

In the videos in this clip. I came across some cars that looked at the Maxima and took it for granted that they would give me a good dusting. Body kit or not ! One of my favorites is a run against an older modded Mustang Gt, the guy is bouncing around in his car hitting the dash or something ? Maybe he is blowing the windshield for a few extra hp ?

Enjoy the video and leave a comment or two ! If you experience any problems with the files let me know so I can check them out.

great vid, what tires are you using at the track? Slicks? Its always great to get those people who under estimate our cars and then see there jaw drop when you beat em hands down.
How come you've been out of a care for 5 months?

That was awesome man. great video. Now that's the way a Maxima should run. Kicking butt and taking numbers. You don't find too many videos of Maxima's spanking other cars that much but when you do man it's a good feeling and you're right: If you got it all fine tuned and the guy is off by a hair, you can apply the sleeper hold to him.

it was something like :

chariot 14.567
srt-4 14.598

i forget what the deal was with that run, something about the track was wet or something another, and it made for a good race. the chariot was bucking and throwing a fit off the line ! lol !

Love the video Ceasar! Every time I watch your videos, I can only wish my car could run like that. I might have the slowest 5speed Maxima in the planet. I'm too worried about not passing smog than just getting a y-pipe with good exhaust setup. Anyhow, winning 3 races out of 5 isn't bad. I couldn't believe how a neon srt moves the way it did, I never saw one in action. What surprised me though is the 87 mustang that you spanked on take-off, and the way he gained on you just like that. He must have sprayed or something, he seems to be doing something when he was leaned over his steering wheel or maybe he was trying to scratch his butt.

Your reaction time is awesome man. That's half the race right there! They spend the rest of the 1/4 trying to catch up!

nice vid

well the 2oo4 neon srt-4 i believe runs around 14.3-14.4 stock but the newer ones are faster. lots of these srt-4's at the track i used to race at were running 13.8 some higher and some much lower. i just happened on the right car, at the right time.

there was an old video called " A Lesson in Torque " the video was kinda a mockery of the mustang gt, there were two race videos and some so called advice and tips concerning the vq30de and how to use your torque to take opponents down ! lol !

Sweet Vid! Loved the music too. Your car is a true chariott. I like how you stole those cars glory by showing them the maxima and its rear end.

I enjoyed watching that. I liked the shot where you passed three or so Maxima's on a highway or something.

The drags were good too ;-)
