Strange Engine Noise and Oil Leak

I'm hearing a stange engine noise under low speed acceleration. Basically if I tap the gas I hear a clunking sound that sounds vaguely like rocker noise on my Jeep. It stops pretty quick, almost like the slack is coming out of something (timing chain?). Also, their is a sensor (cam position sensor?) on the front passenger side of the timing chain cover that is leaking a good bit of oil.

Sorry I haven't researched this more on my own but I'm very busy with school and work and just wondering if anyone could diagnose this.

200 miles shy of 100K

Well I seafoamed it today, 1/3 in the intake, 2/3 in the crackcase. It seems to have gotten louder, softer and now stopped. Still skeptical about it, well see after an oil change. I'm still thinking timing chain (tensioner) though.

I took whatever sensor that was (if anyone knows, pass it on) out and cleaned it up, cleaned the hole and put some black rtv around the gasket. Hasn't leaked yet... Don't know if RTV belongs there... oh well.

Anyway, if anyone has any ideas, suggestions...

Well the sound is still there, just quieter. Tap the gas ~1500 RPM... clank... very subtle but also very bad sounding.

I need to record it or something....

I noticed sort of the same thing while on the freeway to Chicago, I would coast (75-80 mph) and then tap on the gas, and hear a clank from under the car. I think it is my y-pipe, because I have one short and one long rubber hanger, it might be banging against the body.
