Don't you hate when.........
You think you have something working the proper way but a month later you find out it's not?
When I got my replacement Summit RPM switch, I installed it and set it up exactly like the blown one which was set to 3400. before I added the TS ECU I never felt the power difference so I assumed it was opening at 5100 RPMs. Well, stupid me never checked to see whether it was opening at the same RPMs as the old one so I've been kicking around thinking it was working.
After testing the ECU during highway acceleration, I noticed that when I got up to 6000 RPMs, I felt a boost of extra power kick in and I'm wondering why this is happening. So this morning, I decide to look into the RPM switch to see if it is set to 3400 like it's supposed to be and come to find out, it is. I sit in the car and rev it until it opens the VI and the VI is opening at 6000.
??????? A little confused as to why it's opening at 6000 instead of 5100, I just dropped the switch down to 2100 and now it opens at 5200 rpms. The little pot with the yellow adjustment screw was out of adjustment so when you guys get the switch, make sure it's opening when it's supposed to visually.
