2,700 Dollars: Total Cost Of 100,000 Miles On Used Maxima
Starter 350 (lifetime)
cv joint boot 175 (around that)
ball bearing replacement right rear wheel 58
brakes and master cylinder 100 plus 600 (had one 600 at dealer done for free)
spark plugs 25
tires 325 plus upgrade to 16s 300 (two free dunlops) plus 120 for two Hankook
16 inch year 2000 rims 400
thermostat with housing not used 8 dollars
seat covers 30 dollars for two front seat
carpets of ebay 30 plus the others no longer used 24
paint from towerpaint.com about 50 dollars
So not including oil, gas, insurance, registration and other taxes it's around 2,700 dollars rounding up incase I forgot something.
Bought in 99 so it's about right if someone spends around 500 dollars a year on the average car.

Ahh, I see. That is how much you spent in repair for the time you have owned it. I don't see anything major on your list. Figure less than 50 a month for repairs... I say that is pretty good. Plus a lot of that stuff is just maintainece that you will have to do on any car. I would be happy.

Forgot the tokico blues and tools so it's around 3,000 bux. A thousand for every 33,333 miles seems high to me but the car runs like new with a new looking bumper. Over the years though it seems like a good deal.
Forgot the stereo and clear corners too, that's about 3,300 dollars all together.
The 87 Pathfinder is probably about 600 dollars less and had it two years longer with about 100,000 miles. And it starts at the turn of the key.
