How many arctic pearl white maxes here?
well....I've been around .org for over two years and I never seen any other arctic pearl white. and this damn color is so hard to match. I had to get new paints job on some parts when my parents got in accident. Even a shop couldn't match the color right. Some part of my car is pearl white, and some parts are arctic pearl white. so does anyone else have arctic pearl white???

that's the whiter color right? i have qno but i forget the exact name. my gf's friend has a white max but her's is a more white but not pearly color. i like mine better when it's clean but you're right, they're expensive, and difficult to match. the shop should have been able to do it though. i'm actually going to be getting my bumper painted soon and making sure they can match it before i decide on the shop.

I have an artic pearl white :attention . The problem I had was when I went to the dealership to get touch up paint for my car, and its like white-out doesn't match my color at all. I was like WTF??? How are they going to paint are cars one color and make touch up paint that is totally different.

Pearl paint is a 3 stage process... White paint, a coating of pearl and clear coat. Even matching it up at a body shop is VERY hard because of the number of coats you need to put to match it up.. touch up paint in no way can come close.

I have a 95 that is artic pearl. The problem with matching the color is that the stock paint is a tri-coat paint, so buying a touch up would be really hard. I just had a guy hit my rear end. Only left a little dent, but still cost me $700.00, mostly because of the paint. This is a tricky color, but it looks so good in the summer sun.

I too have the arctic pearl white. When you buy the touch-up paint at the dealership, they are supposed to give you 2 little bottles. One is the base coat ( white ) and then the other bottle is the topcoat, and are labeled as such. I have the 2 bottles and have done touch-up and matches perfectly.

Anyway, years '95-'98 had 'Arctic White Pearl' and '99 had 'Icelandic Pearl'. I like the arctic white much better, the Icelandic has a hint of beige/yellow in it.
If I am not mistaken the official name for white in '95 and '96 was simply 'Arctic White' - even though it had pearl and was the same color as the '97 and '98s. My '96 window sticker says 'Arctic White'.

but in all seriousness, i think your's is the rarest color in 4th gens aside from maybe crimson blaze in 99. i've seen about 5 total, and they all appear to be gxe's oddly enough. nice color though...there's one f/s near me.

Not that I like my car's color, but it's so damn hard to match it.
and I didn't know QnO was "ARCTIC pearl white"
When I have chance to repaint my car, I might go Super black or Crimson Blaze.
I just love the look of Crimson Blaze, it's so tempting.

i used to wonder if body shops told everyone else the same old line about its a 3 layer this and that , and its going to be a pricey ordeal ! LOL ! I had stopped by lots of places back when i bought a rice wing and was going to have it installed and then painted. The prices i kept getting were outrageous, ended up selling the wing, and saving me monies !
later i did have the car whole car painted: 12/03 and yeap i hear about this 3 layer this and that ... but the car came out wonderful and looked fresh and new. Well once again this year I hear the same story. Chariot arrives in NZ all beat up with 2700 dollars worth of body damage. Have two guys come out for quotes and you guessed it, once again I hear the 3 layer story, lol !
its a 3 layer process, what will have to be done ( voice slowly fades).....
