Turning on the headlights causes my A/C and Clock lights to go off
So I know that turning on your headlights makes your interior lights dim, and everything was fine for the first 100k miles. Now, when I turn on my headlights at night, the light that flows through to the clock and A/C (electronically controlled version) goes completely off, leaving me unable to see anything on the A/C (including the switches). Any thoughts on how I can fix this?
Thanks in advance!

Have you tried the dimmer switch to the right of the steering wheel? It adjusts the brightness, and at one end it makes it normal daytime brightness, and the other end turns off. Good luck!
Unfortunately, the dimmer switch isn't the cause - I have to up to the full brightness and don't see any difference in the lighting at night. I'm trying to think if it's maybe a fuse or something? Why else would it be totally visible during the day, but then be totally dark when I turn my headlights on?
Thanks for your thoughts though.

I know you said you tried this but it really does sound like the dimmer switch. If you turn the dial to max but don't take it one notch further (it will make a click), it does exactly like you describe.
Does it work when the parking lights only are on? There should be no illumination during either day or night without headlights or parking lights on. How about the clock and speedometer gauge lighting? Do they work? Maybe the dimmer switch is faulty?
