Y-pipe just came in....

My y-pipe just came in from Budget Performance. I ordered it over the phone on Tuesday and it made its way from Canada to my doorstep in less than 72hrs. Check out the pics on my cardomain.com page. Click Here

I guess not. Mine didn't come with one, but maybe they'll only give it to you if you ask. I don't need one anyway.

damn the value of the US $ sucks now. when i bought mine, it was $180 shipped, and that was more than people used to pay, too, i believe.

is there some kind of sensor in the stock y pipe? I heard that when you replace your y pipe you have to put that sensor in it or the check engine light will come on? Also, i have a flowmaster exhaust and muffler. how do i know it has a resonator in it? Its kinda loud

I know what you mean. I got mine for $176 back in the day. Pretty soon the US $ will equal the Canadian $, which would suck.

I also have a flowmaster exhaust. The resonator is on the b-pipe, so just look for bigger diameter piping. You might not have a resonator because mine was really loud before I got a resonator on it. Now it isn't bad. Can't even hear it at cruising speed.

I have a Budget y-pipe I bought last June. They just take the O2 sensor out of the original y-pipe and put it in the Budget y-pipe. I kept my y-pipe in case I ever need it (eg. fail Air Care) or someone wants to buy it. My stealership quoted me Cdn$1,200 plus tax to replace the frigging thing.

you should've went with the new superflo y-pipe from warpspeed. It's super quiet and has no flex section so no bees in the can sound is guaranteed.

Will you be installing the y pipe yourself? Take plenty of pics if you do and let us know how it goes.

Looks like it only came with a gasket and a couple of "O" rings.

You don't really need an installation kit. Just use the stock bolts. If they are too rusted just go out and buy some new ones. CM just sells that to get a few extra bucks.

Yes, more and more people are going with it. It has a spring-loaded type of flex, which moves. Yet, it's not the kind of flex you get with every other y-pipe. It's a new pipe so the flex is still being questioned.

However, there have been NO reports of the flex going bad so I'm going to give this y-pipe a try myself.

Here are some proven facts about the superflo y-pipe:

- it's super quiet when compared to all other "regular" y-pipes, pretty much like stock
- No bees in the can sound - really, truly guaranteed. Physically impossible since there's no flex
- no fitment problems
- madrel bent
- good reviews. Sells only on e-bay: click here
If you look, warpspeedperformance has 100% positive feedback from over 2000 transactions, so I give it a

I want to hear it with a sound clip. Everything sounds too good to be true til you test it out and you throw it away.

look, I don't know if you read my post or not. The things I have listed are true, period. I specifically stated that the quality of the pipe is still in question because it hasn't been around for long. However, it being quiet and other things listed above are proven facts.

My Budget Y-pipe is on for almost 2 years, dealing with NYC climate and roads as well as a lead-foot . doesnt look much worse than when it was new no complaints at all.

alright i get my paycheck soon so i might buy from budget. i bought a CM race pipe a while ago and installation was a BI@tch!!!. the bolts were so darn rusted i had one of my friends dad come by with a blowtorch to melt it off. after that it was a piece of cake but is the y-pipe as hard as to install too? oh for the o2 sensors, u can just unscrew it w/ a wrench right cause i heard they have some o2 sensor tools for it.
