Suspension q's

Hey guys. My suspension feels like absoulte garbage. I want to change the struts asap. I've read quite a few faq's on it, so ease up on the flaming. A few questions are as follows:

1. KYB GR2s or Tokico Blues? I'm wondering.
2. Assuming I can afford the illuminas, which I'm trying desperately to, can I use stock springs? How long will they last(meaning stock springs and illuminas)?
3. What about illuminas and decent coilovers (nothing too extravagant)?
4. Would you say there is a 'major' difference between the tokico blues and illuminas, with the exception of the adjustables?

PS: looking to make a purchase within a few days. Thanks
