Cant Find My Glow Gauges!!!

I have a 98 GLE and I want to put a reverse glow gauge in my car. I tried looking on ebay but I only see the gauges for the 95-97 maximas, which is different from my gauges. Can anyone tell me where I can get reverse glow gauges for the 98 GLE?

yes SE is same as GLE. the only thing you have to watch for is if the Fuel/ Temp are mirrored (they are on 98/99), or facing the same direction (95-97). The ones I have are for any 98-99.
Here are some pics i just took...

Notice in the last pic on the bottom left there is the controls. You can change the colors, i think there are 6 diff colors. and the brightness from super dim to super bright on any of the colors.

Let me know if interested.

They are not the same for the 98-99, SE(white face) are different from GLE/GXE(black face). The only gauges you will find are for the GLE/GXE, there are none for the SE.

Maybe you misunderstood. Yes indeed the gauges are white and black depending on the trim level, but aftermarket gauges will fit any of the trim levels. I have an SE and these gauges were from that. They will also fit GLE and GXE. When i said they were the same i meant size and shape. Color is irrelevant on aftermarket guages fitting...

I understood you, but i have dealt with both gauges and they are different. The SE gauges have a bump stop on the TEMP gauges where the GLE/GXEs don’t. Also the bump stop and IIRC the mounting holes don’t line on the TACH and SPEEDO.

So im not sure how you got them to fit on your SE, but they are different, you can mod them to make them fit , but its not a drop in for the SE.

You can see here you can make them fit by modifying them:

Do u have a picture of them on your SE Gauges?

ok i have been debating a long time about this on whether i should just get simple plug and play 6LED bulbs or the reverse INDIgos from ebay. i heard the needles don't have to be removed so its basically just a slide on? don't you have to remove the screws and the needle resters first?

also, i heard many wired up theres to the dimmer light switch. can anyone remind me wht the POS and NEG wires are?

sure, heres a pic of mine...

cant tell much as they are in the dash, but ya, went right in no troubles...
both our cars were 98SEs.

I got these off ebay about 1 year ago. i noticed no one sells them anymore. There is a set on there but they are for 95-97 as the temp/ fuel are not mirrored.

I tried looking on ebay but I never see the gauges for 98-99. They have a bunch of gauges for the 95-97 but not mine, some sellers on ebay make the mistake by saying 95-98 or 99 but if you look at the gauges they are selling it's only for the 95-97 models.

well do you remove the screws and rester that you see here and then screw em back on to the new ones?

don't see any holes for screws:

here is a pic for the dimmer switch wires. i guess the black one is for NEG but i think someone said the blue one is the POS

Apparently the EL gauges for 98-99 are diferent, if you look at mine (scroll up) you will see that there is a oval cutout for those two screws... as well as a hole for the bump stop.
