OEM or Aftermarket Brakes? HELP !!!!
#2
I don't know about everybody else but when I did a brake job on my 95 Max I used Delco brakes. Next brake job will be OEM... Squeeks, chatters, groans, etc. I the rotors turned did everything I was supposed to...I'll stick to OEM on mine from now on.

OEM will ensure long life, and a squeal and groan free result. I'm not sure what aftermarket provides. However, I've seen many posts from people trying to figure out where noises are coming from after they've done their brakes--but it is never an OEM replacement, always aftermarket.
Factor in that you get minimum 25% off list on OEM with free shipping and no tax, I think OEM is the hands-down choice unless there is something very specific that you are looking to get from aftermarket. my .02

Autozone gives lifetime warranty on Performance Friction brake pads (only front available) that has shims rivited on. If they wear down, just take them off and get another set. I love Autozone for that and the Performance Friction pads are damn good. I have not bought pads in 3 years!

stick with nissan pads.. there the only ones ive ever had (must have tried 10 different ones), that never gave me ANY NOISE AT ALL. do yourself a favor and dont get sucked into people telling you any different. putting a different pads in, doesnt mean there better.. if it aint broke, dont fix it

If you want better stopping power, you can get aftermarket pads. If you like the look of X-drilled or slotted rotors, look into those. Aftermarket pads will almost surely be noisier than stock and cross drilled rotors won't last as long a blanks.
