Rubbing Noise Coming From Rear Wheels

Ive had my 96 Maxima GLE for 2 months about and i heard this rubbing noise when i break and a lil when i drive slowly. It almost sounds like im draggin something as if i had a body kit and it was scraping the ground. I looked under the car nothing there. If anybody has any idea what this could be please let me know, after this im goin to check my breaks and rotors.

jack your car up and manually spin the wheels and look for anything that isn't clearing properly.

if you see deep grooves in your rear rotors, your brakes are probably stuck and pads have worn all the way through. i had to replace my rear rotors last year and its doable yourself.

yeah thanks alot guys for the info, i took my car to a mechanic today cause i had a flat and they checked out the back left and they said the break pad was warn down almost to metal, but he didint look at the right rear one which is the one that i heard the strange rubbing from, so i will jack it up and take a look at the left like u guys said, thanks alot.

Rear calipers

I need to replace my right rear caliper. Nissan wants $385.00 for one. Autozone sells aftermarket ones for $55.00. Do you think it would be okay to buy the one from Autozone.
