Still more intake problems....

So as previously posted numerous times, I installed a CAI on my 98. It set off the check engine light. I went back to stock, and no better. The car recently started having RPM drop offs and was having problems staying on, it kept stalling. Again everything is now stock and its doing this. What could be the problem, and how can I fix it?

first off, are u sure u plugged EVERYTHING UP the right way again?
second, if ur stalling maybe u need to readjust ur idle speed.

Everything is plugged in its all stock again. I just did the self diagnosis i got the codes for Air temp sensor, Knock Sensor, and Mass air flow sensor. What could be wrong with these? And what is a knock sensor?

you've definitely damaged your MAF or something

first check all connections, disconnect battery, then re-connect battery see if that solves anything..........if not, get a new mass air flow sensor

it's obviously his maf.
he probably didn't plug it in. <----
or somehow he managed to damage it....which is hard to do...

i never knew there was a code for the temp sensor. unless you BROKE IT off.

Knock Sensor: goto any mechanic and they'll fix it. Y

No Offence...but you don't sound like a hands on guy.

also i'd just like to say that an intake is the most simple thing you can do. if you can't install this don't mess with your car ever again. no oil changes. nothing.

good luck.

I did that self diagnosis thing, it gave me the code for the mass air flow sensor, but after resetting the check engine light like you are suppossed to the car runs great again. Could it be I just had to reset that?
