supplies to install new brake pads

im changing my brake pads, i looked at the how-to to change your rotor, and i dont think its enough.

what tools do i need to change pads?

I only did the fronts, but if I remember correctly, all you need is a ratchet set and elbow grease. Besides all the brake hardware (pads, shims, etc...)

yeah the front is relatively easy. just simple stuff- ratchets and things. the rear you will need a special tool to screw in the piston when you're ready to put it back together- this is necesary, you can't do it without it.

The rear brake piston tool I bought form autozone ($6-10) its a cube with different notches an all sizes. Use a ratchet to attach the rear piston tool and simply turn to retract the piston. On the rear brakes you only have to remove the bolt on top, but also remove the clip that retains the E-Brake line so the caliper can fall back and give u access to the pads.
The front brakes are easier. If you have a C-clamp retract the front piston before removing the caliper its easier then having to retract it after the caliper is off unless you have to front piston tool also available at autozone($5.00).
