I did that self diagnosis thing, it gave me the code for the mass air flow sensor, but after resetting the check engine light like you are suppossed to the car runs great again. Could it be I just had to reset that?

if resetting your ecu fixed the problem, you may be fine. Just monitor it. As for a replacement, www.twinturbo.net has an excellent classifieds section.

Do not buy one from the dealer. Go to www.car-parts.com, they will have many many to choose from

If your MAF is truely bad you won't be able to drive the car. If you got a MAF code and reset the ECU and the code has not come back then I would not worry about it for the moment

It will be driveable, but ony in "limp mode" That is by disconnecting the MAF, you will only get to 2.5k max, but it will get you where you need to get if it's not terribly far. I bought one off of www.car-part.com for $45 shipeed, been on since 8/04, works nicely.

Do not worry about the knock sensor right now. Worry about the MAF, knock sensor can wait and is not going to cause you any driveability problems

So this problem is definatly the MAF sensor then? Regardless that the knock sensor code came up as the only code? I guess ill just get a new MAF and hope for the best.
