interested in the drop resistor modification?
interested in the drop resistor modification?
hey everyone. i would like to inform everyone that i am currently offering my service to do the drop resitor mod for anyone who wants it. i have done it to my car and i honestly think it is one of the best mods anyone can do for the price. for anyone interested give me a call at 516-316-0005 and we can talk about price and schedule a time to get it done. also, if you have any questions about it, i will answer them for you to the best of my ability. the whole process takes approximately 30 min to an hour.
wtf? it take 5 secons, all you have to do is cut the wire. plus this is jimes idea.
if your talking about running it to a switch all you need is a closed switch where you could run it under the gas pedal or tb

it sends more pressure to the tranny so it shifts faster. automatic maximas have a lag in the shifts because of luxury purposes
Ya best mod you can do.
NOT
Funny i like having a transmission that shifts.
edit: oh and there are so many writeups online anyone could do it. even my mom.
it's like saying i'll charge money to reoil your air filter.
or
i'll charge you 50 bucks to have me throw a resistor in you Intake Temp Sensor.

"Keep adjusting the switch position until the throttle hits it just before or when it hits the WOT position."
i don't get the WOT position. won't the throttle move whenever you give it gas?
at wot part of the tb hits the switch(you can see this happening in the pic, go look at your own engine bay if you can't figure out what are seeing right now...) which creates full line pressure.
I had this on my 4th gen auto. I used it only when necessary though, all that extra pressure is not good for the tranny on a daily basis. I would only use it when I was expecting to go out and have a little fun. In my opinion all it really does is shift harder and little faster. Not worth the potential damage it may cause.
If you are going to do it though, do it on rare occasion, not a daily driver thing.

It took him two days to learn it and offer the service. I want to know how much he charges. I got to hand it to him, he's a quick learner. If his rate is $70, I can bit his rate by $69 dollars. Yeah, kind of low to charge $1 to do it. Heck, it only took me 5 minutes to convert this into business.
i was thinking about the switch setup. if u go WOT, and if ur usually an aggressive driver, wouldn't this be worse for the tranny than setting up a manual switch?
can u use any kind uh manual switch or does it have to have 3 input thingys?
