weight reduction is a joke... I guarantee if I raced any of you CF owners before and after, the results would be the exact same.

I've been to NY quite a few times and most of my family tree lives there, mainly in the bronx and queens. you'd think all that flash would attract a lot of unwanted attention, but who knows. . .

i think people should get any mods they wnat since its their money, i know for myself it would just look wierd having different parts of my car different colors if i got a carbon fiber hood or other parts. i would need to paint it. i cant just see everyone asking me why its a different color then the rest of my car.

so go buy a ricer wing since you know the norms of society so well. like liqidvenom said, it just amounts to more questions. obviously if peopel are asking wh its a different color, its not normal looking.

well having different rims than stock rims arent normal looking either right? its just a trend, ppl put whatever they want to on their car bro. i mean i like my car to be different, not like some other gold max around here, i try alot to make it look differnt but nice. look at that green max larrio posted its differnt and looks nice. then again everyone has their opinions on what nice is

Common sense tells you that... losing a few pounds like that from going from oem to cf hood makes only a tiny bit of difference in weight in the front end. If you're front end weighed 100 lbs.... then it'd make a difference. See where i'm going?...

Maybe you need to get slicks to compensate for that mad tyte weight reduction yo

im not against a CF hood. i think it can go well with some cars. not really my style, and i never thought it would look good on a max, but it actually does.

im kinda sick of the prototype perfect maxima. so many people think there is one certain best way to do a mod. this is very untrue. and yet so many people here hate on someone for doing this- i know not everyone is hatin on a CF hood here, but you know what im talking about.

anyway- i think a better question is... is everyone happy with their CF hood? it looks like a lot of people did it simply because 1) they wanted to save money when they had to change/ fix/ paint their hood, or 2) they don't have big enough cajones to admit they straight like the racer look. like i said its not ever going on my car, but i think a white max with CF and CF eyelids with some black rims , etc. looks hot as a mu'****a

Most hoods designed for the maxima is usually so-so quality, but with fitment issues, color fading etc i've never really liked them myself.

lbs. add up! The cf hood is about 22 lbs lighter than stock. I think it looks nice on specific colors. Who cares what other people think of your car.
I bet taking 10 lbs off of each wheel would make a difference. CF trunk + CF hood would cut back some lbs. Sun roof is heavy

I would prefer to get a yellow cf hood. You really need something contrasting in color in order to alert all these old people and people from Ontario trying to act like they are driving around here.

I traveled all over the US and some other parts of the world. On average people from Ontario are the worst drivers, next would be Maryland, and then New York. Georgia used to be up there for so many drunk drivers but they have improved so much in the last five years.

Please like you (visitor) who come to nyc to visit, best advice is not to drive. The lifestyle in nyc is a bit different when compare to other states. Is kind of hectic. We try to drive to the location as quick as possible in a short amount of time. For the people who can't drive, don't get a rental car in nyc. You'll be driving on one lane straight for the next 30 blocks. NO one is going to wait and let u cut lane. I kind of notice NJ people hate New Yorkers. hehe!
