Engine Codes
I just went through Delaware DMV and my car failed due to these 2 codes:
P1335 and P0105. I looked the codes up and 1335 is the Crankshaft Position Sensor and 0105 is the Absolute Pressure Sensor. I just bought the car from a private owner last week (so no warranty). I have not had a chance to get a service manual yet but I was wondering how serious these codes are and how much is it going to cost me to get it fixed. (in other words can I just reset the ECU) Any help would be great. Thanks, Mav.

the crankshaft position sensor is very easy to change a screw driver will do the job, 2 mins and done.
the absolute pressure sensor, I dont know what that is myself so i'm not sure but if its just a sensor assuming its not a hard to reach sensor, whole job should take you about 15 mins tops to do hood up to hood down.
a haynes manul or chiltons is like a necessity. I have the haynes and find it very resourceful.
as for the sensors I'd guess around $70 for both just a guess though.

Are ecu's are sensitive but I've never heard of a case where the cel went on for something that wasnt faulty, execpt for time when say the Knock sensor would set off an o2 or something else related to the KS.
you could try resetting and see if the code(s) return, or you could (if you have) use a volt meter to test the sensors to see if they are indeed faulty, you'd need a reapair manual to give you number to look for.
