pulled some codes... need help on identifying one of them..

cel came on.. thought it might have been the drop resistor mod i did so i ignored it..

well got to wondering. so i had the codes ran..

pulled a P0325 and P1445

guy told me the P0325 is one of the knock sensors on my car. and thats why my car is hard to crank at times...

and the P1445 is something nissan would have to look into.. said it was emmisions control system or something..

anyone know what exactly the P1445 is and what i would need to fix it.. and is changing a knock sensor a DIY job or should i have a shop do it..

if its just 1 of the KS.. think its best to change both all at the same time?

did you get these codes with a scna tool of some kind, or did you do a self diagonsis with the screw on the side of the ecu? i only ask because neither of the codes you have there really exist... so either learn how to count, or gie the right codes. also, since when does the VQ30 have more than one knock sensor?

0325 scan tool=0304 ECU code .......... same thing knock sensor
Open up any Hayne's and you see the chart listing what code you get depending on the method of code retrieval.

Your knock sensor is fairly easy to replace, assuming you have the right tools and someone with small wrists. Otherwise, the intake manifold needs to come off. All in all, it's definately a DIY job.

Hope that helps.

you know they would so that they can spend more time on your car and cost you more money.

a 12" socket extension and universal swivel attachment got a KS out in 2min flat. and saved my big ass wrists from being cut the Fuck up!

What about undoing the "drop resistor mod", resetting your ECU AND erasing the memory of ECU using the scan tool, and monitor to see if your codes come back?
