2 da max...im getting tired of that...thanks every for the info. i have cleaned my throttle body before and that kind of helped but ive been hearing alot about the IAC valve so im going to get that cleaned next...but as the electrical problem maybe i'll learn to live with it? :T
yes clean the iac valve if you didnt do so already. but it sounds more of an altenator problem. take your car to autozone or pepboys and see how many amps your altneantor is putting out. but this shakiness goes away after a minute of 2 of driving right? do you hear like a whining noise at startup? you have a 99 so your big 3 should be fine
For the electrical problem.
First check all of your fuses. With a circuit tester.
Make sure your DIMMER switch is on the brightest setting. Its located on your dash just under your instrument cluster next to the fuel door switch.
You might need to replace this. Try to find a friend with the same car and borrow his switch.
You might need a new headlight switch-stalk. This is a pain in the ***.
I think your dimmer switch is on dim. Thats the first thing that comes to mind.
You said it started with shaky idle. It sounds like two different problems. Is the shaky idle still there? You might need a good throttle body cleaning, air filter, and tune up. Especially if the check engine light is not on. IAC valve would make the CEL light go bright unless I am mistaken.
Peace
