NEED HELP about the car
hey guys so my car is f*cked right now. Maybe someone can tell me why....anyway i sent my ecu to jwt to get done, so my car sat for about 5 weeks(its also been real cold here latly) anyway i jus put the ecu u in and the car didnt start. ok so no suprise there because its been real cold....well i finally got the car started and it now as a really rough idle. also the air/fuel shows im running really rich. so i went to the gas station to put new gas in the car
well that was yesterday and today the car once again doesn't start(all the time) like some times it starts jus fine but MOST of the time when i go to start the car....it turns over jus fine then sputters a little bit then jus dies. The car will do the sputter die maybe 3 out of 5 time i try to start it.
Any ideas?!

Sometimes when you install a new computer, it takes time for it to learn about all the sensors.
This happens with Audis/VWs a lot when the batteries die. I checked the Haynes manual for Maximas and it says something of the sort under the Emission section, Computer code retrieval.
I know in the audis it takes about 35-50 starts to get everything working and the ECU to complete it's "learning" mode.
It might not be a bad ECU after all. Did you contact JWT? I'm sure they'll say something similar.
