Sunroof howling/whistling

Sunroof howling/whistling
95 SE
Just started doing it yesterday but when the suroof is completely closed and I'm traveling 30mph+, I'm getting a really annoying whistling/howling. I guess that tells me that there is a bit of a "leak" somewhere and that air is getting through (which also worries me with rain). The molding seems to be in really good shape...not cracking and it's still really soft. Is there any easy/cheap fix for this? Can I just use some sort of petroleum/sealer?
Any help would be appreciated. I really don't want to have to have new molding installed if it's remotely avoidable.

Look at your sunroof when it's closed. Is any part of it above or below the roofline?
The sunroof glass should be flush with the roofline more or less. If not, you'll have to add or remove shims depending on if your glass is above or below the roofline.
Go check it and post what you see. Sealers dont work.
Sometimes you can play with the roof a little, open it and close it again, Tilt and close it, or tilt it a minute amount and the hiss will go away.

Can you tell me more about the shim option? It's really driving me crazy with how annoyingly loud and high pitched it is.
Thanks
