Alarm

to do the alarm beep mod. y do u have to remove fuses? do u put the back in? and where does the relay go?

you remove the fuses just to be safe. Put them back when you are done. I mounted the relay right next to the other one. By the way, the beep is failry quiet, you may want to try a louder one from radioshack.

I don't think you need the relay as long as you are using the smaller buzzer. I believe it's the model 273-060 (it's the one in the vqpower write-up). I've had it set up this way since last summer and everything works fine.

Also, if you put it under the bumper outside of the trunk it will sound a lot louder. That's how I have it. I just zip tied it to something under there, don't remember what though.

When you're looking at the wires you have to splice into in the trunk, there should be a rubber grommet that takes other wires out of the car nearby. I ran some wire through that, it comes out under the car inside the bumper. I soldered that to the wires for the buzzer then covered up the connections so they'd be waterproof.

covered up the connections so they'd be waterproof.
what did u use to cover it up with

I shrinkwrapped plastic over the bare wires with a heat gun, but you could also use electical tape I suppose.
