Paint stripper

After reading the stickies and searching for the paint remover to paint the lovely sawblades, I couldnt find the exact product but am wondering if this is basically it?

Aircraft Coating Remover: Talstrp II; Aerosol; 11 oz.
$5.30 @ Advaced auto parts.
Thanks

oh but this is the correct type of product to use on our rims to strip it down to the bare so that it can be repainted?

How much would I need? is there a tub of this goop or something to purchase rather than a whole lot of cans?

Get the Martin-Senior stipper at NAPA. Very nasty stuff. Im not sure if it will work on the clear coated saw blades. If I were you, I'd just scuff and paint them. Painting bare metal is not the best.

thanks for the suggestion what do you advise doing to paint them, I read the stickes and was going to follow that process, from what I read it seemed like that paint stripper takes it down to the bare or atleast to a good paintable point.

So you'd suggest just getting say a good grit sand paper sand them down nice and good, then paint and clear coat? How are you rims holding up since painting?

There are so many crevaces that I would not try and sand them. You have to get all the old paint off or the new paint will peal.

That can will do, buy about 8 cans, and return what you dont need. Clean with degreaser and rinse off, wipe with a "Tack cloth". Use gloves, and get a carbon respirator ($20 at Home Depot).

Prime,Paint & clear coat.

Justin has painted wheels and even then taking it down to bare metal is not necessary. I wrote a little how to when I repainted my wheels.
