Hey guys about two weeks ago i replace my clutch and fly wheel. I took a trip out state and my clutch started slipping bad on the highway i felt the clutch try to grab hard but it could keep the speed up and finally gave out on the highway. After getting towed 110 miles to ny from the poconos and paying 440buck for the tow and 50 for a tip. I bought an act clutch hdss and hd pressure plate and also the fidanza flywheel after installing these to i noti ced a sound coming from the out side under neath the car it almost sounds like a piece of rubber rubbing only when i pull of in first gear. So i go to the shop to find out what its is , in my mind i thought it could be just be my rack in pionion because i knew mine was leaking. The guys at the shop me it could'nt be that and they but it on the lift and coundn't find anything rubbing or touching but after they put it down drove it it still makes the noise and the wird thing it only akes it when you foot is not on the clutch while moving but it does it the loundest in first gear . Any body else had this problem or any experience with this? do you guys think it the flywheel throwing some off ? any help would be appreciated thanks

Could you describe the sound with a little more detail? Is it kind of a groaning sound?

its not a groaning sound its more like when u was a kid and u but a baseball card in the sopkes of a wheels of a bike but it not a grinding or groaning it a noticeable sound though sounds like plastic or even rubber is caught somewhere it only while moving off in first i hear it he most if i pull it out first gear and roll i don't hear it

It's probably one of the bearings in the transmission.
