Auto Trans Valve body Removal?

Has anyone dropped the valve body on the auto tranny? I've been told by a nissan tech that the reason for my hard shifts is because some solenoids on top of said valve body need to be replaced.

I am getting an ECU code that is telling me my line pressure valve solenoids are acting up as well. I am going to see if a power flush will solve the problem. To replace the parts (there are 4 solenoids in total that all come together in a pack) it costs $79.00 at my nissan delaership. I don't know what they charge for labor because i will be doing it myself.

it is preety simple.

drop the pan, and after you do that, you can see the valve body. i cant remember how many bolts hold it in place but i know there is diffinatly a couple. also you need to disconect the connector that plugs into the valve body. plus it is a messy job casue of all the oil.

Have you actually replaced your line valve solenoid pack before? How much did you buy the part for if so?

The harsh shift is due to a boost in your line pressure becuase the solenoid that controls the line pressure is allowing ALL of it to go through. Do me a favor if you could: Ohm the wires to that solenoid when you pull it out and check for open resistance. If that sucker stays open, then we auto-tranny owners may not need expensive valve body work anymore to improve shifting.
