I would like to know this also. Do wheels spacers cause uneven tire wear for those who have used them?

I have wheel spacers on my rears becuase the rims i put on wouldnt fit over the center dust cap thingy, anyway....they are either 10mm or 7mm and i also put in longer wheel studs to be safe.....looks fine doesnt stick out at all but lines up well.

I had the same problem, so I ended up removing the center dust cap and using a very thin 3mm spacer to clear.

i work for a local tire shop and we discourage the use of spacers. Unless you do extended studs. This do to the fact that spacers with a stock stud does not allow the lug nut to grip enough threads. In turn leading to potential wheel falling off. So if you have to use spacers do it right

I got them from a local performance shop for about 25 dollars. My tire shop which installed my wheels discouraged the use of anything bigger than 3mm because the studs will definitely not be long enough and can pose a serious hazard.

H&R are what you want, 15mm or 20mm for the rear. Only problem is H&R spacers have been nationally backordered since October or even earlier.... I'm still waiting for mine. H&Rs are hubcentric and include longer studs so you really don't have to worry about anything. They may make your wheel bearings go out faster due to pushing the wheels out and giving them more leverage. Otherwise there are no cons that I know of, just the pros of MUCH better looks and theoretically better handling (wider track). I wouldn't do spacers on the front becuase with a +35 or 40 offset wheel they're already perfect.

Eibach?

Has anybody considered Eibach's wheel spacers instead of H&R because of the backorder? They offer 5mm - 25mm both with longer bolts and w/o.

I have wheel spacers to, but they are ghettofied, and don't ask me how i did it, cuz i don't want to be liable for any screwups or if it causes any accidents. So far I had them for more than 2 years so far no problems. If I have time ill try to post a pic of it.

I got mine at Poop... I mean pep boys. Off the shelf. I think they were 5.99 each. I dont know how many millimeters they are but they work fantastic.

It's very very difficult for a wheel spacer to "fail" because all it is is a friggin piece of aluminum with holes in it.

I used the OE bolts and some aftermarket low profile lug nuts that I needed for my wheels.

It's not a big deal. You dont need brand name spacers. Wheel alignment and balance is fine too. Just when you put them on make sure they are centered around the hub equally.

The only thing that I can see failing is if they were to crack or shift. If this happens the lug nuts will become loose and your tire could fall off.

I ordered 15mm H&R spacers for my 3rd gen a while back and the studs didn't fit into the hub because of the "girdle" I guess you could call it was too big. They were $140 shipped and I never even used them, I'm not sure if they would fit onto my 4th gen though, maybe they'll fit on my Z.

Nope. Any good vendors to purchase from? I was looking foward to Shadow producing wheel spacer with studs a while ago...but I guess that fell through? I would like to slap on some 20 mm spacers in the rear.

Google search showed a couple decent websites that looked ok. Summit was the only one I've used personally.

Eibach only makes 5mm spacers for the Maxima. Source: Eibach's website

You're right. Sorry everyone. I tried a couple other 5lug vehicles like ours and no other matches either.
