I like it but i also think that a flat finish would look better than gloss to match the center console.

Hey man, i got another question..

What is the paint called, because i went to advanced auto parts and autozone and they only had acrylic enamel paint.. would that be ok to use? (can't find this plastic paint...)

or would i be better off using the plastic paint you are talking about?

I got "Duplicolor For Plastics" in the spray paint isle at Home Depot. I don't know about the acrylic enamel paint. I think the plastic paints adhere a little soft so it can flex with the plastic. Or maybe I'm wrong, I would get a paint for plastics. But, who knows it might even be better?

Thanks for all the nice compliments guys.

if i were you, make sure you lightly sand whatever you paint cause it will stick better=last longer.

Hey Black Maxima... how did you remove the speaker grill and the door insert things on the driver and passenger side, those little pockets. I removed the two screws from the bottom of them, but it just wouldnt pull out.

I got some plastic-kote paint, does anyone know about the quality of this product?

Also.. wet sanding, what grit paper should i use to remove my layers of silver paint?

Help is greatly appreciated.. i am hoping to start painting tomorrow

Once you take the door panels off completely, flip them over so you see the back side of them. You will notice 4 screws holding the speaker gril on to the door panel. Unscrew those and it will come off. I think there are 4 screws for the big pocket on the bottom. Just examine the back of the door panel. You will see what I'm taking about. If you don't know how to remove the whole door panel just send me a PM. This whole project requires the door panel to be removed off the door. My door inserts peeled right off the doors. I stuck a flat blade screw driver inbetween the door and the cloth. I could begin to peel the rest of it off the door panel. The other plastic parts will come off when you remove the door panel.

Never heard of it. It should work just fine. Test it out on one piece and see what happens before you do the whole interior. It should work fine though.

Are you sure it is Silver paint? Did you already paint your interior? The pieces are made a specific color. I would sand with a 600 grit paper.

Yes, and I want to see pictures...If you have any more questions or need help just ask me.

Yeah, I only wish my baby could punish me for it. But it all happened back when I didnt know better, in the days of the married. Once my wife took off on me I finally really discovered my Max and had found a new love, but the damage had already been done. But things will look up, got my debt taken care of so I can finally concentrate on making things right, planning a whole new interior soon.
