Installed I30 electric fuel door release...
I know this was a hot topic a little while ago so I'll share the knowledge.
Maximas aren't prewired for this at all, but it can work easily. It is a pointless mod, just something cool to have considering many exotics don't even have this as an option. It works no better or worse than the manual release.
I'll post pictures tomorrow, but basically you have to run 1 wire to the gauge cluster, tap into the fuse box, drill 2 holes for the motor itself. Very easy and fun install if you're mechanically inclined, only thing is it's tough to know where to drill. I have a few "extra" holes if you know what i mean I like to think I'm saving weight.

Unfortunatley, you can't use the manual release with the electonic setup, it uses a different lock mechanism. However if you install this, you will know that in less than 5 minutes you can pull the trunk liner and pop the door manually, so I'm not too concerned about having a backup.
Like I said it's really pointless, nonetheless something my buddys 318whp M/325i doesn't have lol
