Power steering sucks!

We were doing a spirited run in my buddys 99 SEL and I was given the opportunity to drive. We were crusing at about 75 when a honda accord wants to play games....IM thinking ...is this guy serious?? my buddy looks at me and its on!

anyway you know the result he was probaly 1/4 mile behind me by the time I let up at 115-120 mph......RIght before i let up I noticed the car felt comfortable...almost two confortable...(he has great suspension eibach on illuminas) and i felt like i was driving in a video game...then all of a sudden I almost lost control and almost spun off the highway....but I somehow regained control

What did I do wrong?? I think between the power steering and the pillow like suspension I was lured into thinking I could take a slight wind on the interstate at 120 with ease....what do you think??? i know nothing locked up nor is anything loose in the front end his car is under 60k miles. I will accept driver error as an answer but what else do you think played a factor? his tires were fairly new ...anyway im bored on easter evening...what do you think?

possibly....i was more than halfway off the turn when this happened...It felt great I couldnt feel the road....you know what I mean....on stiffer suspensions like AGX turned up you can feel yourself start to lose control before it actually happens...Oh well go ahead and flame Id rather be honest

wat size rims does he have? in my buddies m3, when he got bigger rims (18'') he was able to take the turns faster (140mph vs 120mph) w/o feeling like he was gonna lose control. do both u and ur friend have same size rims?

what year accord was it? i have both an accord and a 97 max. i prefer the accord any time when it comes to handling and steering, even though it may be a 90, it still sits and feels way comfortable.

maxi's are more of the luxry end, well so is an accord, but come on now.. no excuses no nothing.. the maxi handling, just suck imo.

120 in a slight turn can be deceiving, maybe a math wiz can tell you how many ft per sec. you were going at, probably when you think about it, at that speed real estate runs out quick. One thing I wonder about though is torque steering, correct me if I'm wrong but I thought maxima SEs are supposed to have this to where when you are going at a high speed it should have been harder to turn? Maybe this contrbuted?

At 120, you are going 176fps. Pretty damn fast.

Would a thicker sidewall have anything to do w/ the turn? Low profiles dont have as much flex on a turn than a stock tire w/ a thick sidewall....

Im jus thinking outloud...

Could be this also?>
