New KS, now real high idle?

yeah more or less what the title says
i jus put in a new knock sensor (the old one had a big crack going through it-wich was crazy) anyway after i turned on the car my idle slowly climbed to 1500 but after i drive around for a bit the idle falls back to 700

even though my idle does fall back down when the car is driven around....everytime i turn on the car(cold or hot) the rpms climb.

anyone think of a reason why? I dont thiink it should have anything to do with the new KS but maybe it does and i dont know

Thanks

Give the ECU a few days to relearn everything. It should iron itself out.

check your throttle position sensor. it has a lot to do with rpm positions.

Didyou reset the ECM and run the self-diagnosis after to see if the code cleared or if another reappeared?

I believe it's called Fast-idle which is normal when you first start up your car.
