be very careful on how you drive with the ACT clutch dont beat on it like you can do with the stock or an exedy stage 2. i had an ACT stage 3 in my car and that + my driving shattered my tranny within 2 months.

The ACT street clutch has a real good disc with a lot of grip. However, the pressure plate is a pain in the ***. The pedal is real stiff, and with the combination of it grabbing real hard and the pedal being real stiff it makes it a really big pain for a daily driver

i have the act stage 2 with a fidanza flywheel. LOVE IT... never buy any clutch from unorthodox racing, i had 1 for 2 weeks when the rivets on the hub came apart. I called UR and they mailed me a second clutch (did not offer to pay any labor for repair) i had the second one installed and four days later had the same problem happen, when i called UR they would only give me another clutch. After mentioning i was going to contact my lawyer about this situation (missed work due to no car) UR was kind enough to finally send me a act stage 2 clutch in replacement for their clutch.(at my request, i would not put another UR clutch in after that) UR's great workmanship also cost me a 415$ flywheel when the rivets came apart.. Stick with ACT..

I have the ACT stage 1 with fidanza flywheel for about 5 months now and at first it was a little harsh. As it broke-in, it got better but there was still a little chatter in the morning when it was cold and I was pulling it out of the garage. At that point in time my car had 125,000 miles with original motor mounts. I purchased the ES motor mounts and had them put on around 127,000 miles and all I can say is wow. Clutch chatter is completely gone in the morning and clutch engagement is smooth from the moment I start the car in the morning till the end of the day. I highly recomend getting the Energy Suspension motor mount inserts from Cattman along with your puchase of the ACT/Fidanza combo. Plus, you can have it installed at the same time to save on labor fees. Hope this helps you but, I definitely love it. It has a little more aggressive clamping force than stock, but I did not notice the clutch pedal getting any harder to push down.

I have the ACT street clutch. I love it. I had it on now for 40k and it still grabs hard. I drive my car hard to and haven't once had it slip on me. Its a little tricky at first to drive because the pedal height is different for engagement. But it works it self out after 300 miles or so. I highly recommended.

I have the ACT HDMM street disc.. The clutch is very grabby, but nothing too crazy. If you're a bad shifter + ACT HDMM you'll break grears.. The pedal is a little stiff, but you get used to it. I drive 100+ miles a day on my act, I'm happy with it.

I would consider going with the exedy stage 1, from what i've heard they use the same disc as the act, but the pressure plate is not as much of a pita, and not one person i know of has had a tranny die in the process of having this clutch.

Ohh screw that. I fricking hate my exedy stage 1 and I can't wait to swap it out this summer. Horrible/non-existent gripping power, horrible pedal feel, slips if not shifted perfectly through the gears. It just doesn't have the grip that I like (coming from a 300ZX with an ACT stage 1). Don't go cheap, buy a real clutch. I'm going to get an ACT as soon as I can.

I know requin6 has the exedy stage 1 on his car and the fidanza...he is running a V1 S/C kit btw, with the 3.125 pulley and dynoed at 320whp and 285wtq....!!! he has never had it slip and he goes to the strip all the time....he even put on the 2.87 pulley and it didn't slip...but then his heads warped or something....

but with the exedy I heard you get to keep the stock pedal feel so it will be familiar and it won't be hard on your leg in stop in go traffic (I live in L.A. so that is definitely a concern...)
