Popping noise when turning/CV axles

When I make turns, I get kind of a popping noise coming from what sounds like the drivers side front end...I know my CV axles the boots are torn almost off....Could this be the problem, and what kind of problms could the torn boots cause. Or maybe a worn bushing...any suggestions..

you just need to get new cv axles completely.. if they are alread clicking and the boots are still ripped then its time to replace them.. i paid about average 180 for each side (thats labor and everything).. and most of them come with a one year warranty.. its nothing that is urgent that you are going to need to replace.. but dont wait too long or they will seize up eventually since the boots are still ripped..

just repllaced mine today! 219 for them at advanced auto, bro inlaw helped on install, returned the CORES and got back 90 bucks so 130 for AXELS im happy, no more clicking. YES!!!!!!! when changing axels saw my brakes that were just replaced 7 months ago are already down to last threads. Getting greenstuff brake pads from a buddy will install this week. Soooo One thing gets fixed and another rises. Oh yeah just had the dealership i bought my Max from replace front driver tire for nail in it. When i bought it i got a road hazard plan, so anytime i pop one on the road or get a nail they replace em. hahah the wheels i have on mine now are the 5 spoke wheels with Cooper Cobra tires that were on when i bought the wheels for 250. cobras in front pirellis in back (kill me for spelling) they put a BRAND NEW cobra on in front lol sweet 150 tire for a package i got for 250 not bad. think i might "drive threw" a construction site and my back two tire might have a nail or two in em lol!

check out raxles.com or:

(888) 257-8192 or (800) 257-8192
Raxles inc
2341 NW 71st Pl
Gainesville FL 32653-1623

that's where i'm plannin to go to get mine, except i don't know if i should just replace the boot. i had it up on the jack the other day and saw the boots were cracking, but not all the way through. i put some leather/vinyl/rubber protectant product on them to hold out while i get new boots or axles.

Your case is the only time I would suggest replacing the boot only.
