Is it a power seat or manual seat? May be the motor or the rail.

I have the same exact problem on my car. I baught it used with that problem. My passenger seat is a manual. Does the coin thing work for the manual? If that doesn't work what else could we do?

I had that problem also. I had the manual seats, so I just unbolted the passenger seat and shook it around for a little bit and I found a very badly beaten nickel fall out of it. Problem fixed!

I've had that happen on a customers car. The penny was so stuck that one person had to hold the seat with the lever pulled down and the other had to hit if with a 5 lb. hammer. Just make sure to hit the rail and not the leg that hangs down.
