Collecting some info for a Catback. Can someone help

I am collecting information to buy a catback system. I am a noob, can anyone tell me what brand is good and I want to know what is included with the catback system. Does it include a y-pipe? Thanks for the help

A cat-back system is includes everything from the catylitic (sp?) converter to the muffler. Note, since the y-pipe is before the cat, it is not included in the cat-back. Also, the cat is not included either. Most people just get a muffler, and have a muffler shop/exhaust shop bend a b-pipe (the pipe directly behind the cat), however Cattman, Greddy, and Warpspeed market cat-backs for our cars.

He is right^^ Just go to ur local muffler shop tell them you want a custom 2.5" cat back. I wouldnt pay over $120 for it without the muffler..with the muffler...dont go over 300. and no, there is no Y-pipe included u can always go to warpspeed and get one for 160 or budget for around 200 I believe.

If you have a B pipe made, make sure it's mandrel bent so that the Inner Diameter is the same throughout for better flow. Also, I don't recommend Warpspeed's B pipe because it doesn't fit right and bangs into the body and/or rear axle all the time. Their Y pipe is great though.

Get a Y pipe before you get a catback! The y pipe is where most of the losses are in the exhaust stytem, so that's where I'd start of you're considering an exhaust mod.

Good luck.

Also make sure you get a resonator on your b-pipe. Or else it'll sound really loud and annoying.

So basically you guys are saying that I should go get a warpspeed y-pipe and then go to a muffler shop like meineke and get a custom 2.5 inch catback for less than 300 with a muffler and less than 120 without a muffler? I was thinking about the greddy sp2, does it make a difference or its just the brand that cost more? By the way, would you guys recommend getting a budget y-pipe or warpspeed. I went on warpspeed website and saw that the y-pipe was 250, or is it just me that I don't see it for 160.

The budget y pipe is quoted in CAD $. Converts to app $200 USD at the current exchange rate.
