First off if you come to the conclusion that you have a bad engine mount, ho wdo you determine which one(s) are bad?? And also where is a good place to get them?? Would Autozone or Advanced Auto Parts be a bad place?? I dont think they sell oem equip and I dont want no cheap s#!T when it comes to something like a motor mount!

although I don't have personal experience with mounts yet, I would not get something like that from autozone. I would go PR or Nissan. In this situation I might be more inclined to go oem, I hear the PR ones are extremely stiff, and in some cases I have heard that some people get rid of them because they actually lead to vibration. I don't know though.

When you remove it, you will see tears. If no tears, it's good (for now. Rubber ages and gets more prone to tearing/cracking, so replacing them is preventative maintenance)

For OEM, I suggest going to http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...cfm?siteid=840 since their web prices are waaay better than retail. I'm also looking at mounts, although on my M/T I only see 3: one left, one right (front), and one rear. The Conicelli price is $60-70/ea. Retail is about $100/ea.

When I look under the catalog for a 97 Maxima, I see many on the list - front, side, rear, for auto and m/t.
