weird scratching like noise is coming from the right side of the engine. at first i thought it was because i forgot to reconnect the EGR solenoid valve but the noise is still there after i reconnected it. the noise goes away when I hold down the clutch pedal. the noise is rhythmic and sounds like it's scratching something. noise is even louder when driving. what should I do?

 

Sounds like a bad throwout bearing and/or clutch plate.
