Anyone know where the starter ignition coil is. My Integra got jacked and I just got a new 97 Maxima and I want to be able to pull that out when I leave it for a long time.

I'm not sure what you mean. I don't recognize the name "starter ignition coil".

The 4Gen Maxima engine uses coil-on-plug ignition. There are six spark coils, one for each cylinder. Each coil is physically adjacent to the plug it fires.

Yeah not sure what "starter ignition coil" is... are you referring to the distributor like you had on you 'teg? If so, you won't find one in the maxima. If you are looking for the start, removing it will be a pain in the ***.

Perhaps you are looking for a simple theft deterrent. Consider this idea.

1) Raise the hood.

2) Identify the black plastic relay box near the driver's headlight. Note the map printed on the top. One of the relay positions is marked Inhibit. In my car this is the relay in the upper row, second from left.

3) Remove the relay box cover. This can be done with fingers alone, although it might be easier with a flat-blade screwdriver.

4) Remove the Inhibit relay.

5) Install the relay box cover. It snaps into place.

6) Close the hood.

Removing this relay will prevent the engine from cranking even if the would-be thief has a key. The car's safety interlock circuitry "thinks" the gear selector is in Drive (automatic) or the clutch pedal is not pressed (5-speed).

Try this

I have on my Datsun 510 a hub that detaches the steering wheel. Great theft deterant as they can't drive what they cant steer. I'm not sure how much the airbag will factor in this since I don't know if all max's have one. Also one other thing is to cover your ground or power cable from the starter as theives can cut this wire and your alarm is useless. One last thing don't take this the wrong way as it sucks when you car get ganked, but Im glad theres one less honda on the road. hahaha j/k um not really heheheh

Just an idea,
I love getting Slapp happy on all those dam Hondas with a real SCC the DATSUN 510!

Ok I'm gonna try that inhibit thing. I already removed the 30A Ign Start fuse and although I coldn't start the car without it, my alarm wouldn't activate either.

If you like the idea of pulling a fuse, you could pull the STARTER SIGNAL or the FUEL PUMP fuse. If you have electronic skill, you could pull the fuse and fashion a pair of leads which would substitute for the fuse. Put a fuse holder and fuse in one of those leads. Route both leads to a toggle switch mounted in a concealed location. Somewhere along the lower edge of the dashboard would be unobtrusive, easily operated, and not be a difficult wire routing.
