My 95 GLE engine is old, lifters are now acting up as well as oil leaks, over 250k on engine, i am getting a used engine, can a 2000 or 2001 engine fit a 95, it is the same 3 liter engine. The job will cost around $1500.

 

I don't have any exeperience with this, but from reading around you will have problems with the ECU and sensors... they are not a direct fit. I don't see many people who have done this because it is pretty involved. And at that point they choose to do some type of 3.5 L swap instead. I think it would be cheaper to find a good used VQ from a 4th gen.

 

someone is selling a 4th gen engine on the org for like 500 i think

 

yea...ur going to run into ecu problems.
