Hey, i'm planning on buying a parts car to help me along with fixing my car after my little "accident", and I need to know, ball park figure, about how much would it cost to ship a car from Florida to NJ? I need to know so I can factor this into the price of the sale.

Well, it depends on whether or not the car is running or is even able to be pushed/pulled. It it is mobile, you would probably be looking around $400.00 to $600.00 for the transport. Also, some companies won't deliver to a home address, they will only meet you in a parking lot near your house big enough to manuever around in. (It sucks to drive down a dead-end street in a semi and have to back all the way out of a housing addition!) If the car doesn't roll, they will charge you an extra fee for loading and unloading. I used to deliver cars for a transport company based out of Oklahoma City. I delivered for Dodge/Chrysler and we did a lot of cross-country deliveries. Try a search on Google for "auto transport companies" and start getting quotes.

ummmm tell the guy who has the parts car everything you need off of it...and then have them sent....or, theres lots of junk yards in philly that have LOTS of maximas...your in jersey so itd be much easier being its so close........ also, 600 bucks for the transportation + the cost of the car + the time you would have to spend fixing it when you could be working=wouldnt that be a good percentage of what you could get body work done for....just my thoughts

that would be expensive Uhual charges by the mile.

there about $.50/mile and that doesnt include renting the truck, gas, stopping for food. If the total distance is about 1000 miles, then at .50 a mile thats $500 already.

well, im planning on also doing a manual swap, so that's why a parts car would be most benificial.

Well I will tell you from experience. If you don't have what you want, save yourself the time and money of screwing with a conversion. Sell what you have and buy a standard. I know it sounds more pricey, but in the end its worth it. O and shipping, assuming its running should run somewhere near 600. good luck.

well, it needs to be manual, have a good condition left front fender, and left driver's door and mirror. The color also has to be QN0 Pearl white. I got a quote for 2200 at a local body shop to do all the work, and I would rather get a parts car for half that much, and use the other half to lower/mod my car.

call amtrak they ship up and down the east coast on their little choo choo trains.... had to look into that before I ended up moving to hawaii...
