I have a 95 gle with stock bose system
sometimes when im driving the headunit where it says the stations goes out , or dims and then goes out...
any idea??
i first started noticing problems in winter but thought probably its the cold...
but now its happening again..
my friend also has a maxima and it does that tooo..

I think your headunit is dying out. Other members have reported the same problem happening to their Clarion (for BOSE SYSTEMs) head unit going out.

I'd get it checked out at a car-audio store..better to be safe than sorry.

 

Same thing is happening to my head unit. What a crock, it's cost like a couple a hundred dollars to get it fixed to with the outragous cost of labor now ($80+hr).

I love the fact that you buy a $25,000 car, with a "high quality" radio(ha!!). After about 5 years the thing just dies. What kinda crap is that.

 

It just gives you a really good reason to get something bigger and better.
