I was wondering who would win?? Stock SE vs. Stock GXE/GLE? I was thinking since the SE has 16 inch wheels it would have a SLIGHT upper hand. Obviously since they share so much of the same parts it would be neck-neck the whole race but who would edge out even if it's a slight edge?

Assumimg all other things being the same, the vehicle with the best launch and the best power to weight ratio should win. That would be a 5 speed GXE with no options. The trim levels have a total of about 125 lbs difference between them, which really isn't alot.

Don't forget a lower rotating mass of 15" wheels unless the rotating mass is the same as the 16"(outer circumference). 15"'s spin faster than 16"'s which will give you more take off torque and acceleration. Although you get a lower top speed.

5sp GXE w/o options

The 5sp GXE w/o options doesn't have a limiter? Wouldn't the SE w/o options eventually catch and pass the GXE if limited (assuming approximately equal drivers)?

I'm sure the GLE would lag behind the 5-speed GXE and the 5-speed SE because it only comes in automatic.

0to60 manual GXE would probably win. less wheel weights.

then the manual SE
then auto GLE 95-96 rims are sooo heavy!, a big PIE =)
